This page explains how AfricaNextGen(“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on africanextgen.com. It should be read together with our privacy notice.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember information about your visit, such as whether you are signed in or have completed a security challenge. Similar technologies (such as local storage) work the same way and are covered by this policy.
2. Our approach
We do not use advertising, analytics, profiling, or cross-site tracking cookies on this website. We only use cookies that fall into one of two categories:
- Strictly necessary— required for the site to function (for example, keeping an administrator signed in to the secure admin area).
- Security— required to protect the site and its users from abuse (for example, Cloudflare's bot challenge).
Because we only use cookies in these categories, we do not show a consent banner. The UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) do not require consent for strictly necessary cookies.
3. Cookies we set

The Supabase cookies are only set on administrative pages ('/login' and '/admin'). Visitors browsing the public site as guests will not have any Supabase cookies set.
4. Third-party services
Some of the cookies above are set by third parties acting as our processors:
- Supabase— authentication for the admin area. Supabase privacy policy.
- Cloudflare— bot-protection challenge (Turnstile) used on our forms. Cloudflare privacy policy.
5. How to control cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you:
- See which cookies are set and delete them individually
- Block third-party cookies
- Block all cookies from a particular site
- Block all cookies
- Delete all cookies when you close the browser
Please note that if you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the site (in particular the admin area) will not work, and blocking security cookies may cause Cloudflare to challenge every form submission.

6. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of the page. If we ever introduce non-essential cookies (for example for analytics), we will update this page and ask for your consent before doing so.
