These terms (the “Terms”) govern your use of the AfricaNextGen website at africanextgen.com (the “Site”) and any registration of interest you submit for an AfricaNextGen event or programme. By using the Site you agree to these Terms.

We take care to ensure information on the Site is accurate, but it is provided for general information only. Event dates, locations, and partner details may change. We are not liable for any decision made solely on the basis of information on the Site.

3. Registration of interest

Submitting a registration form indicates your interest in attending, partnering with, or otherwise engaging with an AfricaNextGen event. It is not a confirmed registration. The AfricaNextGen team will review submissions and contact selected applicants with next steps. Attendance and partnership are subject to additional review and may be declined at our discretion.

You confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the authority to submit it on behalf of any organisation referenced. We may decline or remove submissions that appear inaccurate, abusive, or automated.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or impersonating information through any of our forms.
• Attempt to interfere with the Site, its infrastructure, or other users (including denial-of-service attempts, probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of any system or network).
• Use automated tools (scrapers, bots, crawlers) to submit forms or access non-public areas of the Site without our written permission.
• Use the Site or its content in a way that infringes any law or third-party right, including intellectual property and privacy rights.
• Upload or transmit any material that contains malware or executable code intended to harm users or systems.

All branding, text, imagery, and design on the Site are owned by AfricaNextGen or our partners and are made available for personal, non-commercial reference only. The AfricaNextGen name, logo, and associated marks may not be reused, reproduced, or adapted without our prior written permission. Partner marks shown on the Site remain the property of their respective owners.

When you submit information (for example through a registration or contact form), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that information for the purposes described in our privacy notice. You retain all other rights in the information you submit.

7. Third-party services

The Site relies on third-party services including Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), and Cloudflare Turnstile (bot protection). Their availability is not guaranteed and is subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party site linked from the Site.

8. Availability

We aim to keep the Site available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend, withdraw, or restrict the availability of any part of the Site for operational or security reasons without prior notice.

9. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under English law (including, but not limited to, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence and liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation).

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AfricaNextGen is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss; loss of profits, revenue, business, or anticipated savings; or loss or corruption of data, arising from use of the Site or any registration submitted through it.

You agree to indemnify and hold AfricaNextGen harmless against reasonable losses, damages, and costs arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on this page is the current one and the "Last updated" date will be revised when changes are made. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, save that we retain the right to bring proceedings against you for breach of these Terms in any jurisdiction where you are located or operating.
